Welcome to another one of my blog posts that will essentially prepare you to find the best spots in NZ and have the ‘gram absolutely popping off! Despite perhaps not having the most expansive provisions of gorgeous blooms in New Zealand such as Holland do we have more than enough to tickle you pink with excitement and flood your DMs!

Ever since I was a child I‘ve always been excited to explore new places, but also revisit some of the gems that really make me happy and spark joy! Flowers are something that truly do make me happy, and to be honest I think that is the case for most people.

Receiving and being around flowers is a special feeling, even back when I was younger for graduating primary school (the thought made me feel like a million dollars!), attaining fun awards, graduating high school, arriving back home after a long trip, to show love and to pick me up after a rough day. Anyway, without me harping on about how lovely flowers are, I’m pretty sure everyone has their favorite right? At a younger age it was daisies, when I could celebrate my first proper valentines day it was roses, and now I’m going through a big dried flower phase. Not only do they last forever, but they look stunning too!

Nevertheless, I always tend to go back to something that consistently is beautiful, smells amazing and despite the bees is found literally everywhere. Lavender!

Because lavender is so versatile it’s always been one of my favorite scents, assisting me with any anxiety, feeling calm and just relaxation. It’s a special bloom that holds all the feelings of strength and capability.

Once I started getting more into Instagram and Blogging, I started following various accounts and seeing what they would show off around their countries and I saw so many people posting about gorgeous flower fields. Seeing that NZ has some of their own to show off I knew I had to start checking them out!

Alpine Lavender Field - Mt Cook

Have you ever wanted to prance around a lavender field up in the mountains? Well, if you are ready to feel like you are in a scene of The Sound of Music, the Mt Cook Alpine Lavender field is the perfect spot. Accompanied by cute decor to make your photos fun such as swings, tractors, and chairs your gram will never look better. Moreover, you can indulge in a lavender pizza or ice cream when you finish!

Wanaka Lavender Field

What else does Wanaka not have? One of the most stunning towns in NZ is home to a gorgeous lavender field that flourishes some of the brightest colours in NZ. A fantastic environment for the lavender means the blooms thrive and make for an awesome experience. Approximately 5 minutes outside of Wanaka central, the backdrop of the mountains overlooking only makes things so much more enchanting too!

CCT Lavender Field - Auckland

Located approximately 25 minutes south of Auckland CBD, you can check out a gorgeous lavender field in Karaka perfect for family fun! A relaxing atmosphere enhanced by the beautiful colours and scents of lavender will flood your senses! Moreover, after walking through the fields you can sit back and enjoy the pristinely manicured blooms over a cup of coffee and a bite to eat at their cafe!

Lavender Creek Farm Kapiti

An hour north of Wellington in Kapiti you’ll find the enchanting Lavender Creek Farm isstretched out over 5 hectares of NZ landscape. Boasting over 330 different types of lavender, you’ll be in for an awesome learning experience and have the opportunity to see some of NZ’s most versatile lavender grounds.

Ever wanted to stay amongst the lavender for more than a couple hours? Well, Lavender Hill provides fantastic accommodation to lengthen your stay amongst the 7 hectares of blooms.
